ScreenRecorder Now without following error during setup and updated to support Windows DPI settings. This version can only be installed on Windows 10 64 bit and later. Some of you asked to be able to set fps. I added another version to the below link in which you can set frames per second. I want to keep ScreenRecorder as simple as possible but for those who wants that feature, you can download it as well.

CPU Affinity

I developed a simple Windows Service to set a process affinity throughout the system. For example in a Terminal Services environment you donot want Excel process to use all cores (as it may lead to high CPU spikes) and want to limit it to 3 cores (which is enough) then place excel string in processfile.txt file and start the service. During startup and every 10 seconds it looks all excel processes and sets their affinity to 3 cores.

To install service go under the directory where you place all files. Then run InstallUtil.exe cpuaffinity.exe. Donot forget to place processfile.txt in the same directory as I did not handled such errors in the executable.

Due to request I did some changes in the code. Final one is in this location

CHANGES : Config filename is : procandaff.txt. First line is process name and the second line is the number of logical processors you want to set for the process. Currently I only support 1 to 8 logical processors in the code. If you set outside this range or higher number than the logical processors the machine currently has then service exists with config error in app eventlog.

Again no error handling 🙂 so donot forget to place config file where executable resides.

 

 

Remote Run

With this utility I developed you can run remote commands on computers. In the root of executable there must be 2 files: computers.txt (list of computers to run command remotely) and commandline.txt (the command you want to run). For example you need to remove SCCM agent from some of the machines in your domain, then insert C:\Windows\ccmsetup\ccmsetup.exe /uninstall line into commandline.txt and run the executable. I did not spend time to handle errors so donot forget to place these two files before running the tool.

Hatırlatma notu almanın zor olduğu anlarda kolaylık sağlayacak bir uygulama. Araç kullanırken, dikkat gerektiren benzer işler yaparken, ya da not alma imkanınızın olmadığı durumlarda, hızlıca notunuzu alıp daha sonra hatırlamak mümkün.

VoiceTask ile sesli kayıt yapıyorsunuz ve kayıt bittiğinde uygulama bu sesi attachment olarak Mailbox ‘ınıza gönderiyor. Uygulamayı cihazınızdaki donanımsal butona da atayabilirsiniz.

Outlook tarafında gelen mailler için konu ve kimden alanlarına göre kural tanımlaması ve otomatik olarak görev ataması ve sınıflandırma da yapılabilir.

 

KURULUM (Kurulum için hazırlanan zip dosyasında video halinde detaylı adımlar mevcuttur)

 

1. Kurulum zip dosyasını indirin ve unzip edilmiş halde mobil cihaza transfer edin
2. Compact Framework 3.5 ‘i cab dosyasına tıklayarak kurun (storage card ‘a da kurulabilir)
3. VoiceTask’i cab dosyasına tıklayarak kurun (storage card ‘a da kurulabilir)
4. VoiceTask ‘ı donanımsal butona atayın (örneğin HTC ‘lerdeki Camera butonu, Smartphone ‘lardaki speed dial) Böylece yazılımı tek elle çalıştırabilirsiniz (kurulum paketindeki video ‘da detayları görebilirsiniz)
5. Yazılımı çalıştırın. İlk çalışmada size e-mail adresinizi soracaktır. Settings menüsünden e-mail adresinizi girin.
6. Uygulamayı yeniden başlatın
7. Sesinizi kaydetmek için Start ‘a basın, işlemi tamamlamak için Stop ‘a basın.
8. Tanımlı e-mail adresinize sesli eklenti olarak gönderilecektir.

ÖNEMLİ: Herbir çalıştırma için kayıt süresi 111 saniyedir (cihazda yer problemine yol açmaması için)

While driving a car or in very busy situations etc, we run into situations where we need a tool to take some notes quickly to remember later. This tool should be very practical to use (with one hand) and notes it takes must be collected in a central location so that we could access them easily. For this purpose to be used in Windows Mobile devices, Voice Task is developed. With assigned hardware button it launches and records your voice and then sends this recording as an attachment to your e-mail address.

TO INSTALL (Video for the installation steps is included in the setup zip file)

 

1. Download installation .zip file and copy extracted content to mobile device
2. Install Compact Framework 3.5 by clicking the cab file (you can install it to Storage Card)
3. Install VoiceTask application by clicking the cab file (you can install it to Storage Card)
4. Assign the Voice Task application to a hardware button (for example Camera button in HTC models, Speed Dial in Smartphones) so that its very easy to launch the application with one hand (for details please check the video file that is included in the setup package)
5. Run it from assigned button (or from programs) and in first run it asks for your e-mail address, from the Settings menu enter your e-mail address
6. Start application again
7. Hit start and record your voice and hit stop
8. It will send an e-mail to you with your voice attached.

 

IMPORTANT: For every session, max voice recording time is limited to 111 seconds (not to cause space problems on the device).
 

Moreover, You can create an Outlook rule (by subject and from field) for automatically converting those voice messages to Outlook Tasks (and also assigning them to a category).
